Meet Loran

Hello! I’m Loran, a Licensed Social Worker in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. My journey began at Temple University, where I graduated magna cum laude from the School of Social Work, and continued at the University of Pennsylvania, where I earned a unique combination of advanced degrees — a Master of Social Work, Master of Science in Social Policy, and Master in Law. This comprehensive education, coupled with my passion for helping people, has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to effectively support others, understand community dynamics, and comprehend the significant impact of public policy and laws on our lives.

Since 2012, I've dedicated myself to improving the lives of youth in the Mid-Atlantic region. This deep commitment, combined with my educational background, sparked the creation of The Spillway in 2021 to work with adults. It's my mission to establish a space where everyone feels seen and valued, including you.

My counseling sessions will offer a supportive space to explore and address common challenges, such as feeling misunderstood in discussions about identity and finding effective ways to contribute to meaningful change in our lives. This is a community of understanding and growth, where you have the potential to learn, evolve, and make a positive impact.

If any of this speaks to you, or if you're simply curious and have questions, I encourage you to contact me.
